Our Story

It all started in west Philidelphia, where Jonny was born and raised. On the playground is where he spent most of his days. Chilling out, Maxing AND relaxing all cool, just shooting some b-ball outside his sch....

WAIT A MINUTE!!!!

No Fresh Princes or Princeses here....

ACTUALLY, It all started in June of 2020 in Denver, Colorado. Jonny having recently moved from Illinois, looking for new adventures and perhaps looking for love. Izzy, the "rare to find Denver native", was pursuing her artistic passions and NOT really pursuing boys at the time. When as fate would have it, their mutual friend Sarah Doyle (Bridesmaid) put together a Co-Ed 4s sand volleyball team at "The Island" in Aurora. Izzy knew Sarah and their friend Nick on the team, but twas in the dark as to who the other gentleman be. Jonny only knew Sarah, and was just eager to play some volleyball and meet some people. What neither of them planned on was finding a special someone.......

After their first match, Jonny and Izzy sat around and talked... for the next TWO HOURS. Sarah found herself playing third wheel to the situation, and thought "did I just play match maker?" That night Izzy and Jonny exchanged phone numbers and their favorite musical artists.

Fast forward another week or so, where Jonny and some other friends were planning to play some weekend pick-up volleyball at Washington Park. In perhaps his best idea yet, Jonny thought "hey, I better invite that cutie Izzy to come play with us!" Izzy eagerly accepted. After a few hours of volleyball, and digging up many of Jonny's spikes, Izzy invited Jonny and their comrad Joseph (Best Man) for some post-game smoothies.

With their smoothies in hand, the three set off on the river walk near Downton Denver to enjoy the nice day, where many laughs were shared. But Joseph too found himself feeling like he was third wheeling a developing courtship. Not that Izzy and Jonny were ignoring Joseph, but the attraction betweeen the two of them was evident, and was confirmed when Jonny and Izzy "wanted to keep hanging out". Joseph in his infinite wisdom thought "I should leave these two alone" and drove off after smoothies were consumed.

Cut scene to Jonny and Izzy enjoying a stroll through Congress Park as the sun was setting. The two found a nice spot in the park, where they explored the universe through their deep conversations. The bond between them intensified with each word and each passing minute that flew by WAY too fast. Added magic to the night included a good show from a man throwing a frisbee to his dog, and a stranger shooting off fireworks; a conveniently timed metaphor for the sparks igniting between them.

As night time appraoched, Jonny and Izzy walked back to their cars, which were parked at Izzy's home. You better believe they held hands on that walk back home. And as they were saying their goodnights, they were already talking about when they could get together again. Oh, and they enjoyed their first goodnight kiss, as Jonny later stated "I would've felt like a COMPLETE MORON if I didn't kiss her in that moment."

A few weeks later they were dating. A couple years after that they were engaged!!! Jonny proposed to Izzy at the same spot at Congress Park, where their fateful, spontaneous first date happened. HUZZAH!!!! They hope to continue their story with many grand adventures and hope that YOU, the person reading this, will also continue to be a part of their lives.
